We released an update to our Physical Workplace Management and Virtual Workplace Management this past week that include a couple of significant improvements.
First of all, both products now include workplace compliance and self-service capabilities. The workplace compliance gives all our customers a comprehensive solution for managing assets, licenses and contracts. This gives companies the ability to identify where they are overpaying for licenses and where contracts are missing or about to lapse. With a clearer picture of actual usage, it gives companies leverage in negotiating their new contracts with vendors. The bottom line is that companies can ensure they are compliant and save an average of 30 percent on software license expenses.
Self-service capabilities gives companies the ability to eliminate common, repetitive IT tasks from the helpdesk by allowing end users to request and provision automated services through the service catalog. By automating simple IT tasks for end users, requests are fulfilled without waiting for IT to respond and service costs are reduced by up to 70 percent.
Our endpoint management also adds support for Windows 8 now. This means it can manage desktops running the latest Windows OS and can also be used for a Windows 8 migration.
There are more new features that enhance usability and administrative control. All of these changes are the result of communication with our customers and their needs. Let us know what new features or functions would benefit your organization as we continue to improve our solutions for managing mobile, virtual and physical environments.
